Our Story

Born from Devasom’s commitment to celebrating local culture and nurturing artistic expression, KALA TERRA will open its doors in early 2025. From its inception and beyond, this ceramic studio in Khao Lak embodies our dedication to supporting the local way of life while embracing the region’s rich culture, unique arts, and inherited wisdom.

Derived from Sanskrit “KALA” (skilled craft) and Latin “TERRA” (earth), our name reflects our philosophy of creating art that’s deeply connected to nature and local traditions. KALA TERRA CERAMIC STUDIO RULES

This is a community art studio. Please help to keep it clean.
Studio equipment, colors, and glazing materials are for use within the studio only. Do not take them home.
Contact staff to purchase studio clay at the lobby
Studio clay cost covers use of facilities, firing by staff, and standard glazing.
All finished items belong to members.
Studio hours: 9:00-18:00 Monday to Saturday (except during special workshops)
No smoking or partying in the studio.
Please refrain from loud noises and respect resort guests’ privacy.
Membership includes use of Ceramic Studio Facilities, car parking, and access to public restrooms.
Membership does not include use of resort facilities, beach access, library, gym, swimming pool, guest buildings, or public grounds.
Violation of rules may result in membership revocation without refund, at the discretion of the Studio’s committee.
