The lush area surrounding Khao Lak beach was once known as ‘Takola’. Artifacts and evidences of Southeast Asian culture dated back more than 1,400 years show that Takola was a significant coastal town and trading post of the ancient maritime silk route. The archaic culture which prospered in this peninsula is among the treasured heritage of Thailand and Southeast Asia.

Paying homage to the opulence of the 6th and 7th centuries, Devasom Khao Lak resort’s design is based on the intricate and breathtaking archaic art and architecture of a lost Southeast Asia civilisation that once flourished here.

We enjoyed our five-night stay at the beachfront pool villa at Devasom Khao Lak and our two kids enjoyed rotating between the pool at our villa, the swimming pool, river kayaking with us, and the beach most days. All the pools have steps at the side that adults can sit and small children could stand and play in the pool longer.

Rain and Relax

Hotel is nice and full of necessary facilities. Even it rains, you still have joyful moment. Room is decorated in a nice and useful way.

Lost in Takola kingdom

To enjoy this kingdom, i would recommend to stay here at least 2 nights

We gave 4 stars because the breakfast was at minimum standard of the same grade of hotel. Overall, the taste was at hotel standard but it could be better.

Great stay! Would come back again.

We booked a 2 bedroom beachfront pool villa, and it was amazing! Even though the hotel was not serving alcohol and some facilities were closed due to Covid, the staff really did their best to service us and it was really good!

I come here with my partner, it’s was awesome place. I’ve stayed here for 2 night. I ve got pool in my room and sea view. The place is very nice as same as the staff here. Food is very good. So, if u come here u dont have to go outside
