These marvelous vessels were once used as water containers, and now serve as decorative pieces and vases. In particular, don’t miss the exceptional large Antique Bronze Jar, standing proudly in our Lobby Lounge. Its pristine condition and original design make it a must-see.
All who step into Devasom Khao Lak are greeted by the magnificent sight of our Antique Teakwood Door, also known as The Gate of Time. Standing approximately 5 meters tall, this double door is an extraordinary piece of craftsmanship that captured our founders’ attention at a junkyard, during their years-long expedition to seek out the perfect decorations for the resort. Crafted from aged teakwood, this unique portal carries with it a rich history of over 200 years. These carved surfaces once stood part of a palace fort doors in Rajasthan, India. Enthralled by their intricate details, we carefully salvaged and restored it to preserve its original splendor.
ชวนคุณลองสวมวิญญาณนักล่าสมบัติ สนุกกับการตามหาไอเท็มห้ามพลาด เริ่มตั้งแต่ ‘ไหสำริดโบราณ’ รูปทรงโดดเด่นมีเอกลักษณ์หลากหลายขนาด (สมัยก่อนถูกใช้เป็นที่เก็บน้ำสำหรับอุปโภคบริโภค) ซึ่งเราได้รวบรวมสะสมมาเป็นเวลานาน บางชิ้นถูกนำมาตกแต่งตามมุมต่าง ๆ บ้างก็กลายร่างเป็นกระถางต้นไม้สวยแปลกตา แต่มีเพียง 1 ชิ้นเท่านั้นที่ยังคงรักษารายละเอียดของลวดลายฉลุรอบใบได้อย่างครบถ้วนและสวยงามที่สุดซึ่งก็คือ ‘ไหสำริดโบราณใบโต’ ที่ตั้งอยู่ริมระเบียงโถงนั่งเล่นบริเวณล็อบบี้นั่นเอง
เมื่อเดินถัดมาจากล็อบบี้คุณก็จะได้พบกับหนึ่งในซิกเนเจอร์ที่คอยต้อนรับแขกทุกท่านเข้าสู่ เทวาศรม เขาหลัก นั่นก็คือ ‘ประตูไม้เก่าบานใหญ่’ สูงราว 5 เมตร ตั้งเด่นตระหง่านขั้นระหว่างบริเวณล็อบบี้กับโซนภายใน ซึ่งประตูไม้สักโบราณอายุมากกว่า 100 ปี สลักลวดลายงดงามบานนี้ อดีตเคยเป็นประตูป้อมพระราชวังเก่าในเมืองกลางทะเลทรายแห่งรัฐราชสถาน ประเทศอินเดีย โดยเราได้พบขณะออกเดินทางไปตามหาของสะสมที่ Junkyard ในราชสถาน และประทับใจกับรายละเอียดอันงดงาม ซึ่งเราได้นำมาบูรณะโดยยังคงรักษาศิลปะและเอกลักษณ์ของชิ้นงานเดิมไว้ให้มากที่สุด
