Welcome to one of the best restaurants in Khao Lak, TAKOLA Thai Restaurant and Wine Bar. Honoring the original name of Takua-Pa town used many centuries ago, TAKOLA Thai Restaurant offers genuine local Thai cuisine, fresh ingredients sourced from local communities, authentic Southern Thai recipes, and delicious culinary wisdom handed down for countless generations.

At TAKOLA we explore the culinary arts of our region, introducing you to the flavors of authentic Thai seasoning and selected fresh local ingredients which offer not only health benefits but also support the local way of life. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating as well as a private room for dining or wine tasting which seats up to ten guests. TAKOLA has been awarded the Bib Gourmand for three consecutive years in Michelin Guide 2021 – 2024.

Open for lunch and dinner, order your favorite Thai dishes from the A La Carte menu or reserve the 8-course TAKOLA Journey fine dining menu for a special culinary experience. Our customers’ preferred Thai dishes include Pad Thai, Braised Pork, Crab Curry, and Fried Seabass Filet, among many others. We also invite you to finish your meal with our exquisite desserts, made from natural, in-season local ingredients for fresh and authentic flavors, such as Mangosteen Mousse.

Locally Sourced Fresh Ingredients

Sustainability is a driving force in our purpose. As part of the community in Khao Lak, TAKOLA Thai Restaurant aims to support the local community by sourcing ingredients locally. Not only does sourcing from a small radius reduce our carbon footprint, it also colors your meal with authentic local flavors, unique to this region of Thailand. Vegetables and herbs are either grown on site or procured from a local village. Seafood is caught in the Andaman Sea, by fishermen who have been active in these waters for generations. A Culinary Journey of Thailand

TAKOLA Journey is our 8-course fine dining culinary experience. Executive Chef Polkrit Innirut uses prime quality ingredients sourced locally in Phang Nga and the Southern Thailand region to reconstruct delectable Southern Thai food dishes.
