If you’re looking for the perfect beach here, we recommend Sunset Beach for various reasons. One, the beach itself is very quiet since a hill borders it. Two, there are hotels around the area, meaning that if you were to book your stay at one of them, such as Devasom, you’d have the beach right next to you!
The restaurants
Thanks to the variety of restaurants and stalls here, Khao Lak offers excellent local and international food. However, if you want something truly memorable, try and look for the Baan Srimuang restaurant. Translated into English as the purple house, this restaurant is hidden away on a lake, promising a stunning view as you enjoy great food.
The only downside of this restaurant is that you’ll have to go out of your way to reach it. However, with the right mode of transport, like a bike or scooter, you’ll quickly get to the restaurant in no time.
Another restaurant we highly recommend is the Gold Elephant. This restaurant is a lot more touristy than our previous recommendation. The food here is excellent, and it gets even better: The prices, while still above average, are quite affordable compared to many other popular establishments.
